Courses offered in 2003 by Osage Valley Professional Development:
 

  1. May 2003:  "Hydrology Refresher" This course will review the basics concepts and calculations of rainfall-runoff, flow routing, data interpretation and information resources for professionals involved in site design and planning.  This course will be offered in Butler, MO on May 29, 2003 (Thursday) and in Clinton, MO on May 30, 2003 (Friday).
  2. June 2003:  "Presentation Skills/Leadership"  The first part of this course will provide training in producing computer-generated presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint and Corel/WordPerfect Presentations.  Attendees should bring a laptop computer if they can (not required).  The second part of the course will explore leadership development and attributes, drawing from articles from the Harvard Business Review.  The June course will be offered in Butler, MO on June 24, 2003 (Tuesday) and in Clinton, MO on June 27, 2003 (Friday).
  3. July 2003:  "Statistics I/Small business vitality"  The first part of this course will instruct the participants on the applications and data summaries in common statistical distributions (e.g. normal distribution) from an applied viewpoint. The second part of the class will focus on small business vitality.  The July course will be offered in Butler, MO on July 17, 2003 (Thursday) and in Clinton, MO on July 18, 2003 (Friday).
  4. August 2003:  "Career Guidance/Development"  This course will address practical and accessible activities you can use to interest kids in technical professions.  Specific demonstrations will be discussed.  The course will also focus on issues of career development for engineers and land surveyors.  The August course will be offered in Butler, MO on August 7, 2003 (Thursday) and in Clinton, MO on August 8, 2003 (Friday).
